A field research survey regarding “Sustainable Livelihoods and Green Development Strategies in Environmentally-Economically Vulnerable Areas” was conducted by UNEP-IEMP on 1-6 September 2019 in Inner Mongolia, and China. 10 villages in Inner Mongolia were selected as sample villages. 19 senior and master students from Renmin University, Beijing Forestry University and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University interviewed 10 village cadres and 133 farmers face to face, to collect the information on the villages and their households respectively. The overall goal of the field research survey was to find out the ecosystem situation and livelihood status of farmers in environmentally-economically vulnerable areas and provide a scientific basis for promoting the sustainable livelihoods under climate change situation.
