Seminar Presentation Details: Dr. Dagne is a post-doc research fellow of UN Environment’s International Ecosystem Management Partnership funded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences- President’s International Fellowship Initiative (CAS-PIFI). In his presentation, Dr. Dagne will start by introducing the agricultural research systems in Ethiopia. He will provide a brief overview about the research areas of Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) and explore possible synergies with UNEP-IEMP for future collaboration. Dr. Dagne will also highlight his own research areas/duties in EIAR and will indicate how he can contribute to UNEP-IEMP’s activities under the framework of the Flagship Programme on Climate, Ecosystems and Livelihoods (CEL).

Finally, he will briefly present his latest articles on the socio-economic and environmental impacts of coffee farmers cooperatives in one of the coffee producing areas in Ethiopia.
