The video was produced by the EbA South Nepal country team, led by the Ministry of Forests and Environment. It presents the climate change context in Nepal, EbA South project overview and highlights of the EbA interventions at the project sites in Lamjung, Gorkha and Tanahu districts. These EbA interventions involved large-scale plantation for watershed restoration including reforestation, agroforestry, riverbank stabilisation, cardamom/broom grass/bamboo/banana plantations, and livelihood diversification such as beekeeping, vegetable plantation. Long-term research programme, aiming to measure the short- and long-term effects of EbA interventions at the project sites in ecological, hydrological and socio-economic aspects, in collaboration with Thribhuvan University, was also another highlight. Reflections from the communities on the benefits obtained from the project interventions as well as opportunities for upscaling and replication from the government’s point of view concluded the video.
